How to prepare
- Pour the 2 cups of water into a pot together with the butter. On a low flame, melt the butter and bring to a boil. Add milk, sugar and cinnamon, and your chosen extract. Mix well, add the contents of the package of couscous, and turn off flame. Mix well and cover for 5 minutes. Separate the couscous granules, and add the cut almonds, pine nuts, raisins and walnuts.
- Serving suggestion: At Mimouna festivals, this dish is often served with leben (a thin, low-fat sour cream).
